WRITING SOCIOLOGICAL CRIME FICTION

In this article I share and discuss a poetic work of experimental sociological crime fiction titled “You Will Have Your Day in Court” (in Crockett Thomas, 2020c). it reimagine the “true crime” story “King Con” Paul Bint, who for period 2009 successfully impersonated Keir Starmer, then Director Public Prosecutions. first introduce my collaborative approach to writing fiction, connections poststructuralist philosophy conceptualisation research as process translation. After sharing piece, thematic aspects work, such popular fascination fraud, desire explanations criminal acts, narrative constraints placed on people have experienced criminalisation. also consider stylistic elements including use voice, characterisation, structure. hope that is interest scholars aiming marry thought with an fiction.
